WAIPUKURAU OVERBRIDGE

As main contractor Russell Roads undertook Stage 1 of the replacement of the Waipukurau Overbridge. 

The contract value ended up at just under $1 million and included cut to fill on site off 9,000m3 and borrow to fill of 60,000m3 of river run.  This was sourced from a river bed 12 kms from the site.

Also involved was the construction of a concrete walkway.

Even though the contract was mostly carried out through the winter months, it was completed on time and enabling the client to carry on with Stage 2.
