TRANSIT NEW ZEALAND CONTRACT Highway Pavement Recycling
Russell Roads was the main contractor and was responsible for purchasing all necessary equipment including subsoil pipes, filter fabric, sealing chip and bitumen.
Our work included recycling the pavement, seal widening and sealing, laying sub-soil drains, forming dish drains, as well as traffic management.
We were also responsible for ensuring all necessary material was available as needed, for example; stockpiling base course and sealing chip.
We worked under pressure shaping, stabilising and sealing the road within 24 hours on a major highway.
Throughout the job we co-ordinated three of our own teams of up to 25 staff across three different locations, at times we were working 140kms from base, as well as engaging and managing subcontractors to ensure we met the stringent specifications required for the project completion.
