Russell Roads actively supports and encourages employees to undertake training.  We work closely with InfraTrain to meet our training requirements.  Training is timetabled into staff key performance indicators which are reviewed regularly.

In 2008 Dick Gibbs received his Assessor Certificate and is now qualified to assess 101 unit standards in civil construction.

Hirini Tamati recently completed his Water Reticulation and Road Opening - Trenching certification.

Chris Jensen completed his Water Reticulation and Road Opening - Trenching certification in May 2009.

Royston Apatu completed his Water Reticulation and Road Opening - Trenching certification in July 2009.

Gus Wilson finished the National Certificate in Civil Construction Supervision - Level 4 and is the only person in Hawkes
Bay to hold this certification.

Jamie Neho
- National Certificate in Civil Construction Supervison - Level 4 - expected completion March 2012.

- National Certificate in Civil Plant Operation - Level 3 -  expected completion June 2010.

Faalili Ahlam
- National Certificate in Road Opening - Trenching, Level 1 - completed in March 2010. 
- National Certificate in Infrastructure Pipelaying - Level 3 - expected completion April 2011

Sam Hulks
- National Certificate in Civil Construction Works - Level 2 - expected completion December 2010.

Junior O'Connell
- National Certificate in Civil Infrastructure (General Introductory Skills) - expected completion July 2010.

Gus Wilson, George Beattie, Hemi Renata and Dick Gibbs successfully obtained their Class 2 Load Pilot Driver Licences.
